What is EFT?
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. EFT is one of the principal therapeutic modalities used in the increasingly recognized and scientifically supported field of Energy Psychology.
EFT can be thought of as emotional acupuncture. EFT professionals guide clients in identifying often long-buried emotionally traumatic experiences that have altered the normal flow of energy in their body. Blocks to normal energy flow give rise to negative emotions and unhelpful beliefs and behavior patterns. When causal traumatic experiences are identified, gentle tapping on selected acupuncture points is used to neutralize them and restore optimal energy flow. According to the increasingly robust Energy Psychology research literature, removing blocks to the body’s normal energy flow can alleviate a wide range of emotional and physical problems.
